What are the Signs of Impending Brake Failure?

by | Sep 8, 2020 | Car tips by Brad

August is Brake Safety Awareness Month, the perfect time to get your brakes inspected. Brakes wear over time, so it’s important to have them inspected regularly to avoid complete and sudden brake failure.

Watch out for the following signs:
– Screeching, grinding, or squeaking may be a problem with the brake pads or shoes
– The vehicle pulling to one side may indicate the need for a brake adjustment or more brake fluid
– Vibration when braking could be due to worn rotors
– Little or no resistance when braking may be caused by a leak around the master cylinder or brake line

Bring your vehicle in to us at United Service Automotive and receive a complementary brake inspection by one of our expert technicians when you mention this August’s automotive tip.
