I Hit A Pothole; Will My Car Need Repairs?

Well, that depends.

Potholes are formed when water seeps through cracks in the road, which softens the dirt underneath lead to collapse in the pavement. The impact of hitting a pothole can be jarring and you’ll need to look out for the following:

·        Tires – Monitor your tire pressure and inspect the side wall for any bulges or other signs of damage.

·        Wheels – If a wheel is bent, it won’t seal properly to the tire and may not roll smoothly

·        Steering and Suspension – If your car pulls to the right or to the left after hitting a pothole, it’s possible your car was jarred out of alignment. Get your alignment checked right away for driving safety and to avoice expenseive premature tire wear.
